Test sequence with optimized operator guidance
When developing new hardness testing software, the primary question is how to simplify the operation of the fully automatic machine.
Extensive knowledge of the operation of fully automatic hardness testing software is often necessary in order to obtain the desired test result.
At Pro-K Prüftechnik we have set ourselves the goal that our software can also be used without a long learning phase. Regardless of whether it is a single test or a fully automatic pattern test like CHD. In order to meet this requirement, we have integrated two essential functions in Pro-Command:
Test program:
Contains all the essential information for testing and evaluation, i.e. it specifies the test sequence. In our example it means the number of test series, the selection of templates, the type of core hardness test, etc.
Loop function:
Guides the user through the test sequence and only enables activities in the meaning of the test program. In our example, the user only has to call up the test order and define the starting points of the series.
With the new functions, we were able to prevent a complex user interface, as only those buttons are displayed that are necessary for progress in the test sequence. To go one step further, all the user has to do is press the Enter key.
In the following video we show the loop function using the example of a fully automatic CHD test. A hardness testing machine type FM300 was used, which was equipped with a USB camera, the stepper motor control Pro-Step, automatic stage by Pro-K and hardness testing software Pro-Command. All 3 axes are motorized, the 50x objective was used. Two series are tested, whereby the core hardness is tested once.
The feature is of course available for new machines, too.
